2. Question:
My load weighs only 500 kg of small dimensions 1.5m x 1.5m x 1.5m (LxWxH). Do I really need a 100 ton truck crane to lift 0.5 ton to a roof 65 meters high?
Answer :
Taking into account the slinging, the height of the hook and your load, the boom length of the truck crane must be at least 72 meters for this job. Low-capacity mobile cranes do not have such long booms. The 100 ton LIEBHERR LTM 1100-4.2 truck crane with a main telescopic boom of 60 meters has a folding lattice jib with a maximum length of 19 meters and with it the total boom length is 79 meters, which is already enough to supply materials and equipment to the roof, with a height of 65 meters. A smaller truck crane won't do the job.
