It is difficult to imagine modern construction without the use of special equipment - truck cranes. Renting a truck crane is an ideal option when you need to move heavy loads, lift them to a height.
Cranes differ in lifting capacity, length of boom reach and its design, engine power, type of working drive and other parameters. But, regardless of this, there are uniform rules for the safe use of cranes .
One of the main points of these norms provides for the rules of slinging - that is, the combination of strapping and holding the load for further lifting and movement.
The following requirements must be met:
- slinging devices and fasteners must be reliable;
- only slinging devices intended for repeated use (inventory) can be used, while they should not allow structures to fall and overturn, and also not deform them;
- the duration and labor intensity of all operations should be minimized, and unstitching operations should be carried out without the participation of a slinger, remotely;
- use protective spacers to prevent damage from sharp edges to the structures of the slinging ropes;
- the angle between the lines should not exceed 90 degrees;
- when lifting, all slings must be tensioned with the same force, and those that are not used must be attached in such a way as not to cling to obstacles encountered;
- the sling hook located in the slinging loop (trunnion or eyelet) must not touch the surface of the load being moved.
If it is necessary to carry out a one-time lifting of construction materials, then it is allowed to use ordinary ropes, which are equipped with knots and loops. It is also possible to move a freely placed load on loop elements, if there are elements that prevent the load from shifting.
Slinging methods and diagrams are issued to slingers and crane operators. The operating organization is engaged in the development of the relevant documentation, and the methods of safe tilting of structures are also indicated there. Particular attention is paid to the development of schemes if the cargo does not have special slinging loops or other devices, and it is also impossible to use standard slinging elements.
Each type of cargo has its own characteristics of fastening. So, for loading pipes on pipe carriers, which are located in gondola cars, an important point for safe work is the correct selection and gripping of load-handling devices. For these purposes, end-type grips are used (several ropes ending in hooks); for long pipes, special traverses equipped with hooks are used.
It is possible to lift a load if its weight and method of slinging are known. If the weight is unknown, then the slinger is forbidden to start performing his duties, he must inform the official who is responsible for the safe work on the truck crane.
